Christina Milian
Christina Milian was born Christine Flores on September 26th 1981 to Cuban parents in New Jersey, and was raised in Maryland. She set her heart on a career in entertainment at the tender age of four years old, doing commercials for companies such as Wendy’s and Honeycombs, moving at the age of thirteen to Los Angeles California to more avidly pursue her acting career, however her father didn’t move with the rest of the family and soon after divorced Millian’s mother, Millian’s mother is her manager, running the day to day tasks that Christina comes across.

In 2003 Millian started to record tracks for her album “Its About Time” which is named so, because of the amount of time it had taken for the singer to get the album done and out in stores for the public to buy, during initial industry previews the album was received quite well and looked certain to feature well in the US and UK charts, however it failed to reach its full potential hitting number 14 on the US Billboard album charts, selling 36,000 copies in the first week, and a poor 385,000 sales in the US totally not to mention a meagre number 21 in the UK album charts.

Millians third album entitled “So Amazin” was released on May 16th 2006, she worked with stars such as Cool & Dre, and initial feeling about the album was good with the first single featuring Young Jeezy  called “Say I” going in an number one on popular music download site Itunes in the UK, but unfortunately for Christina this was the high point of the album, with it not making it into the top ten on the US Billboard charts, and only getting to number sixty five in the UK, the second single from the album was “Gonna Tell Everybody”, however Millian’s record label Def Jam records failed to book Millian any jobs to promote the single, or even film a music video. In 2006 Christina Millian’s representatives made a press statement stating that the artist had left Def Jam records citing “creative differences”, however it is widely believed by most in the industry that Def Jam dropped her for her poor album sales.

Recently MTV.co.uk famously reported on the fact that Christina Milian was so hard up for cash after being dropped by record label Def Jam, that she started to sell her personal property on popular auction website EBay, but the singer hit back saying that the proceeds were for charity and not the bank of milian, the rumour was fuelled by the poor sales of her album “Say I” and the fact she has stopped shelling out cash on Rodeo Drive.
